Colette Plouffe Barbery

September 2, 1946 – March 25, 2018

Our esteemed colleague and friend, Colette, died unexpectedly on March 25th, leaving a gaping hole in Our Harbour’s Board and our hearts. As captured in the photos below, she brought her vivacious, disciplined approach to bear on all manner of Our Harbour projects and initiated many of her own.

She showed us that Spaghetti Dinners could be effective fundraisers while enhancing the sense of family that is so much a part of Our Harbour. Over the years, she became an important part of Our Harbour’s public persona, especially, but by no means exclusively, in the francophone part of our community. She was always there for us and did not shy from reaching out to her business associates and her golf and curling buddies.

Reflecting Colette’s commitment to Our Harbour, her family have asked that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Our Harbour.
