Robert (Bob) Bilodeau, 1948 – 2018
The Our Harbour community has been saddened by the death of Bob Bilodeau, a long-term resident who recently moved to an assisted living facility in Longueuil. We extend our condolences to his large extended family.
His passing particularly affects the residents, staff and volunteers charmed by his special grace and humble manner.
Bob prospered within Our Harbour’s protective envelope. His warm, endearing ways and quick smile belied his ongoing struggles with medical issues. Despite being a man of few words, he was known for his epigrams. Asked how he was feeling, he usually deflected concern with a characteristic, “Not too bad.”
On June 22nd, Our Harbour hosted a lovely memorial service for Bob officiated by Reverend Jennifer Mountain of the Saint Lambert United Church. Several of the over thirty participants told of Bob’s impact on their lives. He will be missed.
His sister, Jocelyn Bilodeau, has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Our Harbour.
